   National Amateur Field Champion. An AKC title used as a prefix to the dog’s registered name. It is the title given to the winner of the national open. The title also carries the year of the win, ie: 2004 NAFC FC-AFC Chickamauga Choo Choo. Eligibility requires that: Dog must be winner of preceding National Amateur Stake under an Amateur Handler; Be the winner of the preceding National Amateur Championship Stake; and win a first place and a total of 7 championship points in Amateur All-Age stakes during the preceding fiscal year.
